Hello everyone,
We’re excited to share the latest Avicenna Research update. This release highlights our recent compliance with ICO and DSPT standards, further reinforcing our commitment to keeping participant data safe, secure, and handled according to the highest standards.
Bug Fixes
Cognitive Tasks’ Translations
We fixed an issue on mobile apps where the cognitive tasks, like Stroop or Matrix Reasoning, failed to display UI texts in the participants’ selected language, and they remained in English. These texts now correctly follow the app’s language settings.
Survey Question Scrolling
We resolved an issue on the iOS app where survey questions with long texts could not be fully scrolled, preventing participants from reaching the answer options and other elements the question could have.
Number Question Layout
We addressed an issue on the iOS app where Number question views did not return to their original layout after dismissing the keyboard, leaving part of the question content hidden. Participants can now see the full question content once the keyboard is closed.
Security Updates
ICO and DSPT Compliance
We’re now compliant with ICO data protection requirements and NHS DSPT. This ensures participant data is handled securely, with measures like encryption, multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, and continuous monitoring. Our processes are regularly audited to maintain transparency, security, and accountability.
Removals
Camera and Audio Permission on iOS
We removed the information dialog that appeared before requesting camera or audio permissions in survey questions, following Apple’s review requirements.
Thank you for your continued feedback and support which helps us make Avicenna Research better with each release. We hope you find these updates useful.
