Hello everyone,
In this release, we focused on making study participation smoother and study management more reliable. You’ll see clearer achievement displays for participants, smarter SensorKit permission handling, and better control over session expiry via CSV uploads, along with targeted bug fixes to improve notification template creation, VAS question interactions, and activity-response commenting.
Improvements
Achievement Badge Label and Score Display
We improved the webapp study page to display the achievement label and score alongside the badge. Previously, only the badge was shown. Now, when the “Show Score” setting is enabled by the researcher, the label and score appear on the right side of the badge, providing clearer progress visibility for participants.
SensorKit Permissions
We improved how SensorKit permissions are requested, so the app now only asks for sensors tied to data sources added to a study. Previously, users could see prompts for sensors their studies did not use. Now, permission requests are limited to relevant sensors, reducing unnecessary alerts and improving the onboarding experience.
Session Expiry Time in CSV Upload
We added support for specifying expiry_time when creating sessions via CSV so you can control when each session expires alongside its scheduled_time. For more details, see our Reference.
Bug Fixes
Create Template Button in Activity Editor
We fixed an issue where the “Create Template” button in the Notification Templates tab of the Activity Editor did not work, preventing users from creating templates. Now, it works as expected and allows templates to be created successfully.
VAS Question Rapid Interaction
We resolved a crash that occurred when participants moved VAS sliders quickly and repeatedly. The app now handles rapid interactions safely, so users can adjust their answers as often as needed without interruptions or losing progress in the activity flow.
Comment Submission on Activity Response Page
We addressed an issue where comments could not be submitted on the Activity Response page when a study had only one researcher. Researchers can now successfully add and save comments on activity responses, ensuring that review notes and clarifications are recorded as expected.
