Hello!
I’m currently setting up a study that requires scheduling 5 prompts per day for participants.
My study design requires that:
- There is at least a 2-hour gap between any two prompts (minimum delay),
- And no more than a 2.5-hour gap between any two prompts (maximum delay).
Is there a way we can schedule to send a prompt more than once a day with those restrictions?
My study ID is 25793! I currently have it set up with 5 time triggering logics but I can’t figure out if there is a more efficient way.
Thank you!
Hi @ashmita.mazumder,
Based on those requirements, do you mean you want the prompts to be scheduled randomly?
If yes, when do the daily prompts start (the earliest) and end (the latest)? Do you have a window?
Best regards,
Mojtaba
Randomly, yes with some restrictions. So I want the prompts to be sent 2-2.5 hours apart. Start time 8 am and end time can depend, 5-7 pm
@ashmita.mazumder Thanks for the clarification.
Since you want to randomize, using the existing settings for the Time TLs won’t be precise; we don’t have a “min/max gap” setting.
If you want to be precise and respect those limitations no matter what, you can always use CSV files to schedule sessions. Please check this article on our Learn website for an example: Schedule Sessions with Customized Timing for Each Participant | Avicenna Learn. This is the most flexible way you can create sessions for your participants.
Best regards,
Mojtaba
Thanks so much! I was also wondering if there is a way to display more than one question at a time? For example, could I display an entire section at a time?
Thanks!!
@ashmita.mazumder Anytime.
Regarding your next question, we don’t support that at the moment, but we’re thinking about adding the option. You can find it as a “product idea” (or feature request you might say) here: Options to show 1 question or 1 section per page.
You can vote for that idea. We’ll consider votes in our prioritizations.
See more ideas here: Product Ideas - Avicenna Forum.
Also, you can add yours if you want.
Best regards,
Mojtaba
