Automation for Participant Removal in Study

I am struggling to find an automated way to remove participants from a study once their response threshold is too low. For my current study we send out an EMA 3 times a day, and if a participant misses 9 in a row, they are dropped. Currently removal is done by hand, but the ability to automate to remove risk of human error would be nice.

Hi,

Unfortunately, automatic participant dropout is not supported. Participants can only be dropped out manually, either by the participant or by the researcher.

That said, there is a workaround to help make the process easier and reduce manual effort. You can follow the steps in this guide to calculate completion rates using a formula and quickly identify participants who have missed more sessions than allowed.

The first two steps in that article help you efficiently detect participants whose completion rate is below your threshold. Once identified, you can manually drop them one by one. It is not fully automated, but it minimizes manual tracking and helps avoid errors.

If you are looking for a fully automated dropout process based on custom rules, you can contact our sales team at sales@avicennaresearch.com to explore a possible tailored solution.
