Hello everyone,
This is a smaller release, but we’re continuing to work hard behind the scenes on improving, expanding, and creating new capabilities in Avicenna. In this update, we’re introducing support for fully customizable registration pages to better tailor onboarding to your study, and we’ve fixed an issue with Fitbit wear time calculations so results now correctly respect each participant’s timezone.
New Features
Custom Registration Pages
We introduced support for custom registration pages, allowing studies to replace the default registration experience with fully customized HTML pages tailored to their needs. Custom pages support dynamic study placeholders, query parameters, and localization, making it possible to personalize participant onboarding flows. For more details, see our Reference.
Improvements
App Usage iOS Data Collection Window
We improved App Usage iOS data collection by removing the previous fixed 24-hour lookback window. Now, when a user initiates collection, we query from their last successful collection (up to 1 month back) through to now minus 1 hour, instead of only the past 24 hours.
Bug Fixes
Fitbit Wear Time Timezone
We fixed an issue where Fitbit scoring did not calculate wear time based on the participant’s timezone. Wear time is now derived using each participant’s configured timezone.
Thank you for your continued feedback and support, which helps us make Avicenna Research better with each release. We hope you find these updates useful. As always, we welcome your feedback and encourage you to reach out with any comments or questions on our Community Forum or contact us directly via Email. Stay tuned for more updates coming your way!
