The question is, why do we need the status of “notifications” while we have medium statuses? Especially the “Sending” status is vague.
Managing the notifications statuses based on the medium statuses is hard and gets harder as we go. This also causes confusion for the user on the UI level.
Also, we should at least show the in-app status even if the data is not on the webserver and we don’t want to change that logic (I think we should create the in-app status beforehand and update it with new info from mobile apps). We should at least show something with the default initial status for the in-app medium. But consider older notifications and editing NTs too, which might affect how we detect the initial status.
