Weekly Release Notes - 2023-12-12

Hello everyone,

We’re excited to share with you our latest update on December 12th. This release brings you significant enhancements, focusing on improving your overall experience and addressing key issues you might have faced. Here’s what we’ve updated and why it matters to you:

:rocket: New Features:

  • iOS Version Enhancement:
    • We’ve rolled out significant upgrades to our iOS app. Make sure to update your app from the App Store to enjoy a smoother, more efficient user experience! These are the changes in detail:

    :lady_beetle: Bug Fixes:

    • Reliable Study Reload on iOS:

      • We’ve fixed an issue where studies were not reloading properly when the app was not active. This change ensures that your studies are always up-to-date, even when the app is running in the background or has been closed.
    • Improved Study Management on iOS:

      • We’ve resolved a problem where participants couldn’t easily switch to another study or leave the current study after the current study participation period had ended. Now, they can seamlessly move between studies or exit expired ones.

:sparkles: Improvements:

  • Streamlined Device Synchronization:

    • We’ve refined how your devices synchronize with our system. Now, when you use multiple devices, they will all update simultaneously, ensuring you have the latest study information across all your devices.
  • Enhanced Survey Response Handling:

    • We’ve improved how survey responses are processed and exported. This means you can now see comprehensive and detailed responses, especially for surveys with Multiple Answer and Audio/Text questions, enhancing data accuracy and usability.

:wrench: Technical Updates:

  • Robust Data Management for Research Integrity:
    • We’ve improved our data management system to ensure that your research’s audit logs are preserved even after deleting a participant registration data. This update is crucial for maintaining comprehensive records, aiding in research transparency, and supporting compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. It means researchers can now have a complete historical view of their studies, enhancing the trustworthiness and reliability of the research findings, while still respecting participant privacy.

Thank you for your continuous feedback, which helps us make Avicenna Research better with each release. We’re confident these updates will enhance your experience.
