Question notifications phone type

Hi,

During pilotting I’ve noticed that one participant with the phone V1990A from Vivo did not receive any notifications for my study.

I made sure to:

  • check in the phone Avicenna notifications panel to set ALL notifications to ‘Always show’. Ensured that the notifications could be persistent, and show also when screen was closed.
  • no disturb mode activated or silent mode
  • within Avicenna, activate all notifications
  • study was updated on the Avicenna and the Avicenna app was updated from play store to the latest version

Despite this, no notifications would appear on the locked screen. And when the phone was open, they could sometimes appear in the notifications tab, but no vibration was produced, even when the phone was on ‘Vibrate’ mode.

There is nothing else I could think of to check, so I was wondering if this is a common issue for this type of phone model or if there is anything else I can do to troubleshoot?

Hi @codrin.mironiuc

In our database, we only have 1 participant using this phone, which I’m gonna assume is your participant. So this is an uncommon case on an uncommon device.

Unfortunately we do not have that device in our office either to test it on. Sorry I cannot be more helpful here.
