Profile Settings

This guide explains how to manage account settings in the Researcher Dashboard, including profile information, security features, password management, and notification preferences.

Accessing Profile Features

To open your profile settings, select the Profile button in the top-right corner of the dashboard. The following options are available:

• Personal Information

• Security

• Notification Settings

• Log Out

  

Personal Information

Use the Personal Information section to verify your email address and add a phone number for security features and SMS notifications.

1. Click the + button in front of Phone number.

   

2. Confirm your password.

   

3. Select your country and enter your phone number.

   

4. A verification code will be sent to your phone via SMS. Enter the code promptly in the designated field.

5. You’ll see a confirmation message once your phone number is verified.

Security Settings

Use the Security settings to improve account protection and session management.

Two-Factor Authentication

Enable 2FA for an extra layer of protection. Once enabled, you’ll need to enter a verification code sent to your phone each time you log in.

If your phone number hasn’t been verified, you’ll need to verify it before enabling Two-Factor Authentication.

Auto-Logout

Enable Auto-Logout to sign out automatically after 20 minutes of inactivity.

Password Expiry

Enable Password Expiry to require password updates every six months.

Change Password

You can update your password anytime:

1. Select Change Password.

2. Verify your current password.

3. Enter a new password.

   

If you’ve forgotten your password:

1. Select Forgot Password.

2. Enter your registered email address and click Reset Password.

   

3. Follow the email instructions to set a new password.

   

4. Enter your new password and log back in.

• You cannot reuse your last two passwords.
• Changing your password will log you out of all other active sessions.

Notification Settings

Customize how you receive notifications by enabling SMS or email alerts for specific events.

Notification categories include:

• Account Deletion
• Export
• Participation
• Session
• Trial Study

Additional notification events are available in the Notification Settings section of your profile.
