Issue with notifications offline on Samsung Galaxy devices

Hi there,

I am currently piloting my survey with Samsung Galaxy A05 phones. Generally everything is going well, however, I notice that when using the prompts offline, I need to make sure my screen is not off for them to send. For example when my screen is off, the prompt will be delayed, when i click and unlock my phone the alarm then rings. I was wondering if you all have used this phone before and know of any workarounds on it?

I cant find an option to have the screen on forever/for it not to lock though i’ve set it to the max of 30 minutes for now.

Hi Shreya,

To keep the app functional in the background there are two essential settings. If enabled the reported issue should not happen.

Please ensure the Sticky Notifications and Battery Optimization settings are set up as mentioned here: Device Specific Settings | Avicenna Learn (avicennaresearch.com).

Please let us know if that doesn’t resolve the issue.

Hi I am still having trouble enabling sticky notifications - it is still greyed out.

I can’t seem to find this step in your instructions:
3. Auto-optimize daily

  • Go to Settings → Battery and device care
  • Click on the three dots menu and then tap Automation
  • Disable Auto-optimize daily and Adaptive power saving.

I’ve disabled everything I can but it still not working. Could you let me know if you have any further suggestions?

Here’s what I found about auto optimization online:
